Wind Music Concert Held during Wuzhen Graceland Good-Neighborly Month

On March 9th, Wind Music Concert for celebrating the 70th anniversary of PRC founding was spectacularly presented at Wuzhen Graceland Yile Lecture Hall. Hangzhou Retiree Wind Music Band performed a dozen of well-known orchestral songs including Ode to Dedication, On the Hopeful Field, Ode to the Motherland and Good Times. While spreading the praise to the motherland and neighborliness among the audience, the melodious music also played a harmonious movement for Wuzhen Graceland Good-Neighborly Month.

Good-Neighborly Month is one of the traditional activities held at Wuzhen Graceland during every March in warm spring. During the period, Wuzhen Graceland will organize rich forms of activities on culture & art, community mutual help and outdoor events. These activities are aimed to enhance interaction among neighborhood and strengthen the community’s vitality. The events of this year’s Good-Neighborly Month are as wonderful as usual.

On March 4th, the spring semester of Yile College formally began. The elderly students were back to school and started their joyful study tour.

On March 5th, Lei Feng’s Day, the community held a public event on tailoring. The residents who were good at sewing helped neighbors to alter sleeves and pants, change zips, and repair used clothes. The neighborhood was connected by simple sewing.

On March 8th, International Women’s Day, Graceland invited makeup teacher to give the female residents a lecture on makeup knowledge and skills. This activity started the “Beauty’s Day”.

Wuzhen Graceland Good-Neighborly Month will last to the mid-to-late March. On March 12th, Tree-planting Day, the residents will seed in the Graceland Farm. On March 15th, many Yile courses could be purchased in advance at a favorable price. On March 16th, residents could jointly attend the baking course. In the neighborhood communication social gathering on March 21st, new and old friends could gather together to talk about good life.

During the Month, Graceland will set up a “Kindness Wall for Mutual Help”. Residents may leave a message about their needs on the wall. Other residents could help them to solve the problems, in order to promote friendship.
