Yada Academy Special Lecture “Origin and Soul of Jiangnan Culture” Successfully Held

On May 30th 2020, Yada Academy Special Lecture “Origin and Soul of Jiangnan Culture” was held at Yada Culture & Art Center of Yixing Yada Yangxian Xishan. Chairman of Yada International and Founding Partner of Yada Capital Mr. Jiang Jianning, Director-General of Yixing Municipal People’s Congress Mr. Zhou Bin, Chairman of Yixing Municipal CPPCC Mr. Mei Zhonghua, management team of Yada and Yangxian Xishan as well as more than 300 distinguished guests from and around Yixing gathered to listen to Mr. Zhang Jianhua, a writer, calligrapher and Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Literary Federation who shared his understanding on Jiangnan Culture.

First of all, Mr. Zhang Jianhua, based on his study of years, sorted the concepts of culture. According to him, culture could bring powerful spiritual strength that generates power and energy for self-confidence and self-improvement as well as corresponding self-control and self-discipline so as to promote social and individual progress in a healthy, well-organized, sustainable and stable manner.

Then he explained profound Jiangnan culture in simple language with wide quotation from its two major origins Yangtze River and Central Plains, to three aspects of Chinese culture essence namely Harmony, Moderation and Ethics, to four elements of Jiangnan culture soul namely Combination of Softness & Hardness, Inclusiveness & Openness, Poetic & Beauty and Confucian Business Thought. He spontaneously pointed out that, Yada Yangxian Xishan is a vivid case of Confucian business for it provides both comfortable living environment and rich cultural experience as an economic and cultural project, leading the development of innovative Jiangnan culture.

Born in Yixing, Mr. Zhang Jianhua specially interpreted Yangxian culture of Jiangnan culture with seven words, namely Beauty, Harmony, Righteousness, Kindness, Diligence, Wealth and Cultivation.

At the end of the Lecture, the audience had full exchanges and interaction with Mr. Zhang Jianhua on the topics of the relationship between culture development and economic revival, the relationship between macro culture and craftsmanship spirit, etc. Mr. Zhang has won universal applause for his witty answers.

On April 25th 2020, Yada Academy Lecture & Talk won Excellent Reading Project (Brand) Award issued by Propaganda Department of Yixing Municipal Party Committee
