In the golden October, the air is full of osmanthus fragrance. When a round moon was in the sky, a celebration was held at Yada Yangxian Xishan.

On October 1st of this year, the Mid-autumn Festival met National Day by coincidence.

On such a wonderful day to celebrate gathering and national harmony, First Hufu Yangxian Xishan Lantern Festival grandly opened at Town Center. The activity was one of Yangxian Ecological Tourism Zone Golden Autumn Travel Season Series Activities.

Theme lanterns, fair booths and art performance … a grand party has unveiled itself at Yangxian Xishan.

25 Clusters of Lanterns Lightens Yangxian Lake

Mid-autumn Lantern Festival Upgraded by National Intangible Cultural Heritage

Lantern show was one highlight in First Hufu Yangxian Xishan Lantern Festival. We invited the production team of national intangible cultural heritage Zigong Lantern Festival to make lanterns. 30 master craftsmen from artistic designer made and installed the lanterns with one month timeframe, completing 25 clusters of theme lanterns.

Such a large-scale and high-quality lantern cluster was the most ambitious in Yixing Mid-autumn Festivals.

Focusing on the Round Moon in Xishan theme to celebrate Mid-autumn Festival, these lanterns adopted shapes and concepts of Jiangnan Culture to deliver traditional style and modern fashion.

From Flower and Moon on the memorial gate of North Plaza to A Place in Time at the entrance of South Plaza, lanterns with varied and distinctive shapes spread all over Town Center, including bridges, lanes and waters. When light was on, a bright moon ran in the sky above Xishan. Neon lights reflected on the rivers, making people enjoy themselves so much as to forget to leave.

Among the lantern clusters, the Prelude to Water Melody lantern cluster based on the theme of Su Dongpo in Yixing has become a hot scenery for grand scale, profound moods, and vivid display of a scenery that Mr. Su Dongpo was enlightened when coming in River Jing on boat.

Lanterns lightened Town Center along Yangxian Lake, tourists’ travel experience, beautiful life of the local residents and night economy of southern Yixing mountain area.

Traditional Music Theater and Chic Songs & Dance

Almost 30 performances per Day Offer Wonderful Experience

Driving on Xishan Road, tourists could hear songs from Yangxian Lake far and away.

To meet more tourists’ demands on spiritual culture, the Festival prepared a grand culture banquet.

Abundant shows were performed at Romantics Pavilion, Central Plaza, Liyong Zisha Tea House, Glass House, waterside pavilion of Cultural Space and South Plaza, including traditional opera, modern sideshow and magic, popular ancient dance and dynamic instrumental performance.

The whole Town Center became a stage full of wonderful performances. Tourists seemed to walk in a theater with a sky roof and the earth stage.

Besides, there were many cultural exhibitions. Based on the local characteristics of Yixing, Salle Binfeng, Experience Center of Yixing Cultural and Creative, Liyong Zisha Yixing China, Zhang Jianhua Cultural Space planned series of exhibitions on ceramics, paintings and calligraphies, creating heave cultural atmosphere.

The diversity of art performances has enriched the content of Mid-autumn Festival Lantern Festival and the spiritual and cultural life of tourists. By the Festival, tourists got to know local customs and humanities history.

KFC, Starbucks … Hundreds of Shops Orchestrated A Fair Full of Passion for Life

Sense of daily life appeased public feeling.

The Fair was a place where tourists stopped to enjoy, as it was full of sense of everyday life.

In the fair, there were distinctive intangible display with local characteristics, customized cultural creations under varied categories and local flavors. Almost one hundred brands gathered there to create a vivid living scenery.

Well-known brands, such as Starbucks and KFC, bring urban flavor to forest far away from the city.

Meanwhile, some local snacks, such as Gaocheng Pork, Zhoutie Madam Mei’s Stinky Tofu, Hufu Zhouzhen Little Wonton and Heqiao Dried Bean Curd. Walking along the street, tourists could enjoy all snacks of Yixing.

Bread, cakes and pastries, online celebrity milk tea … here had all food and beverage that tourists expected to find.

Also varied activities, such as guessing lantern riddles, putting lanterns into water, offered childhood experience for all-age groups.

Prosperity inside, landscape outside.

It described Hufu Yangxian Xishan Mid-autumn Lantern Festival. Upon entering into Town Center, tourists seemed to come into a bustling fair. Out of it, green mountains and rivers came into tourists’ sight.

As one important activity during Yangxian Ecological Tourism Zone Golden Autumn Travel Season, First Hufu Yangxian Xishan Mid-autumn Lantern Festival would last three days, jointly organized by Yangxian Ecological Tourism Zone Management Office, Hufu Town Government and Yada Yangxian Xishan.

Town Center of Yangxian xishan, the venue of the Festival, played the role of the Tourist Center of Yangxian Ecological Tourism Zone. It was constructed by Yada for three year. It combines varied commercial patterns for tourist, including themed hospitalities, boutique homestay hotels, cultural creation exhibitions and life services. It also has Business Center to serve shops there. Besides, it has 8 high-standard public lavatories.

On October 1st, Long Retreat Resort, Experience Center of Yixing Cultural and Creative, Salle Binfeng, Zhang Jianhua Cultural Space, Yummy Yangxiang Street and other shops were officially open to the public. Before that, Luobu Station, Lequn Restaraurant, Xishan Life Supermarket, Agricultual Bank of China Yada Branch and Liyong Zisha had been open. Due to unified planning and optimized public services, Town Center further drove the development of tourism in southern Yixing mountain area in a modern, intensive and high-quality manner.

With one round moon lighting on Xishan, the whole world shares the previous moment.

The Mid-autumn Lantern Festival was a practice to explore the integration of ecological travel and cultural experience, but also a powerful measure to overall revitalize Yixing tourism after the Epidemic. It was a spark of fire to start the all-for-one tourism development in Yixing. Its spillover effect would be beneficial to southern Yixing mountain area, the Tourism Zone and local residents.
