In the Creation Fair, playful games attracted crowds of people. Archery, ring-toss and other games brought joy and happiness to players.

Families went to the Fair to explore interesting things together, such as retro palace lanterns, delicate jewelries, woven dolls, intangible cultural heritage and etc. some of them were produced by Graceland residents. Better lifestyle had been inherited.

As the tradition, Graceland residents got used to take a family photo on Mid-autumn Day. Cheerful looks on photos reflected family affection and friendship among neighborhood.

As a round moon ran up to the sky, outdoor cinema of Graceland also started. The film “My People, My Country” was played to remind residents of their passionate ages.

Round moon in the sky and family reunion on earth. Colorful lights brightened the night of Mid-autumn Day. Residents guessed lantern riddles and floating river lanterns for blessing, and felt Festival joy.

“Happiness is a peaceful nation and the harmonious family”, one madam said with smile. Alongside Baima Lake, residents put river lanterns on scales, lighted them to bless happiness every day.

Besides outdoor activities, handcraft lessons let residents experience the charm of handcraft. Here, residents could made meat-stuffed mooncakes and retro palace lanterns, play ceramics making and learn about succulent plants.

Sharing food and enjoying family happiness with family members was also important in Festival. In Graceland farm, picnic were very popular. A family cooked the picnic with fresh material by a large pot. The dinner tasted better. Children who participated in found the joy of cooking like a little chef.

2. Sharing the Moment at Graceland Round Moon Party

On the night of Mid-autumn Day, Graceland Round Moon Party was held.

The Party was organized by Graceland residents who were full of talent. They offered a wonderful performance for families and neighbors. Celebrities of Graceland showed the charm of traditional operas in the best state, including Shaoxing Opera, Shanghai Opera, Peking Opera and etc.

Taichi teacher Mr. Liu gave a performance of Chen’s Spring and Autumn Falchion. Each posture showed masculinity, which pushed the atmosphere to top.

Residents who had their own hobbies gathered, sang songs or danced in daily life, which decorated the life more beautiful. In the Party, some of them performed songs, dances, chorus, solo, band playing and etc. to express their affection and blessing to the antion.

We still had dreams. We did not care age. Although our hair turned white, we were still energetic.

At such a moment for reunion, children were back home to watch eldership. During the Party, the interaction made audience more exciting.

3. Old Friends Gathered to Enjoy Promising Life

Beauty existed at each small moment of life. On such a day, clubs of Yile College also showed their artistic aesthetics at the bank of Baima Lake.

Some old friends met each other, sharing their progress in music and feeling to life. Here, neighborhood had become families.

From ancient times till today, clean moon invited us to a fantastic world. The Salon of class music, dance and poem appreciation welcomed their new gathering.
