Yada Projects Held Varied Events to Celebrate Double Ninth Festival

During the Double Ninth Festival, Wuzhen Yada International Health Ecological Park, Gaochun Yada Health Leisure Tourism Park and Yixing Yada Health Ecological Park (Yada Yangxian Xishan) organized festival celebrations on the theme of culture and health respectively, inheriting the traditional virtue of respecting, loving, caring and helping the elderly.

“Wuzhen Graceland Double Ninth Garden Party” began with the group setting-up exercise for ease and stretching. After the warm up, the elderly gave wonderful performance in high spirits, such as Yangko dance, vast chorus and ink & wash improvisation, spending joyful festival together. Double Ninth implies longevity and well-being. Wuzhen Graceland October Birthday Party was held on the same day, sending out wishes of health and propitiousness to the elderly.

Pine Care Yada (Wuzhen) Elderly Service Center organized a fresh tea party with the theme of kite flying, one of Double Ninth Festival traditions. The elderly reviewed the origin of Double Ninth Festival, shared the festival customs, and made colorful kites representing “Enjoying both Felicity and Longevity” to celebrate the festival.

Fousing on the elderly health, Gaochun Graceland held the “Love in Double Ninth Festival – Traditional Chinese Medicine Free Clinic” jointly with Gaochun District Health Commission, Gaochun Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Riverside Community of Chunxi Street and Graceland Kindergarten. Medical experts from 11 major departments of Gaochun Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, namely cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine of TCM, endocrinology, gastroenterology, ENT, dermatology, geriatrics, ophthalmology, surgery, pneumology as well as acupuncture and rehabilitation, offered on-site diagnosis and treatment. There was also a TCM Health Lecture during the Free Clinic, sharing wellness knowledge in the autumn and body conditioning methods based on TCM for promoting healthy lifestyle and living habits.

During the Event, children from Graceland Kindergarten gave a wonderful performance. They also made Double Ninth Cake for the elderly as festival gifts. Many news media, including NJTV, Gaochun TV and Xinhua Daily Media, gave live report and interview, highly recognized and praised the activity.

The 3rd Yada Yangxian Xishan Double Ninth Festival Culture Fair was held at Bamboo Community. Under the theme of “Love in Double Ninth Festival, Gratitude to You”, the Event got active participation from the Park residents. They expressed their affection to Yangxian landscape and praised the beautiful life at Xishan by own performances, such as poem recitation, singing and flute solo.

Yada Academy staff prepared abundant activities for participators surrounding Double Ninth Festival, such as tea art performance, calligraphy appreciation and ink & wash interaction. Stewards from Life Service Center gave longevity noodles for the elderly of 70 years’ old and above, wishing them a happy and healthy later life at Yangxian Xishan.

Residents gathered together by the Event, reciting, talking about, drawing, tasting and making chrysanthemum. The activity was full of happy laughter and cheerful voices. What a warm and memorable Double Ninth Festival!

Double Ninth Festival is one of the important festivals for Yada Projects.
