Wuzhen Yada IHEP Held Special Activities for Mother’s Day and Nurse Day

In 2019, the day of May 12th is both Mother’s Day and International Nurse Day. Zones of Wuzhen Yada International Health Ecological Park (IHEP) held relevant activities to celebrate the two festivals accordingly.

At Wuzhen Graceland, Mother’s Day and Birthday Party for the Elder Residents were held at Graceland Assembly Hall. Wuzhen Graceland’s residents who were born in May, their families and many neighborhoods gathered together to spend a warm and joyous holiday time. The activities site was decorated with colorful balloons and soft music, where the atmosphere was harmony and happy. During the Party, staff of Wuzhen Graceland gave flowers of carnation to the elderly and birthday wishes to residents who were born in May. The flower of carnation has a meaning of the love to mother. Then participants shared the birthday cake standing for health and longevity. The Party further promotes the neighborliness among residents of Graceland.

Zhejiang Yada International Rehabilitation Hospital held an awarding event for teams and individuals who won in the 1st Rehabilitation Nursing Skills Competition of Yada Hospital on the Nurse Day of May 12th. Physicians and therapists presented flowers and gave festival wishes to Nightingales on duty that day. On the same day, the Nursing Department held a Nurse Day Exchange Workshop to commend excellent nurses, exchange working experience, collect advices and suggestions for continuous improving nursing quality and celebrated the Nurse Day together.

Pine Care Yada (Wuzhen) Elderly Center organized the “Mother’s Day Tea Party” for the elderly from the Center and the Daily Center. At the beginning, staff of Pine Care Yada introduced the origin of Mother’s Day to the elderly present. Then the elderly played games of I Say You Do and Unlacing Ropes that were good for exercising their hands, brain and quick mind. At last, the elderly made paper carnation flowers by thin wire, color paper and water color pens to celebrate the Mother’s Day.
