Shanghai University of Technology Establishes Undergraduate Major in Rehabilitation Engineering

Recently, the Ministry of Education in China announced the approval results of undergraduate majors in general colleges and universities 2019, and approved a total of 51 new majors outside the catalog. The “Rehabilitation Engineering” major applied by Shanghai University of Technology has been listed.

At present, only two universities in the United States have undergraduate majors in biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering (with an emphasis on biomechanics). Therefore, the approval of the new undergraduate major in rehabilitation engineering declared by Shanghai University of Technology has made Chin the first country in the world to set up undergraduate program for training rehabilitation engineering talents.
