National Committe on Aging: Aged-care Institutions May Restore Normal Services in Order

The National Committe on Aging recently issued the Notice on Provideing Service for the Elderly During the Prevention and Control of Normalized Epidemic Situation, requesting the establishment of  visitation and care service system for special elderly person living alone, senior citizen, and disabled in the community, as well as elderly person with special family planning, and actively help them solve their difficulties in life care, medical treatment and other aspects.


The Notice pointed out that we should adapt to the requirements of normalized prevention and control, orderly release the door-to-door service of elderly care workers & community elderly service agencies, and allow housekeeping, maintenance, express delivery & other service personnel to enter the community for meeting the needs of the elderly. Under the premise of ensuring the safety and health of the elderly, aged-care institutions and integrated medical & nursing institutions should adjust the epidemic prevention and control strategy in a timely manner according to the risk level of the region, and restore normal services in an orderly manner.
