NHC: Smoke-free Environment Construction Incorporated into Medical Institution Performance Appraisal

Recently, National Health Commission and National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly issued the Notice Requirements on Further Strengthening Smoke-free Medical Institutions Construction. According to the Notice, all medical institutions in China will improve work mechanism, define work responsibilities, guarantee relative expense based on Guidance Requirements on Smoke-free Medical Institutions Construction, and incorporate the smoke-free environment construction into annual and daily work plan. All institutions should mobilize the initiative of workers and carry out respective trainings on dissuasion skills and smoking cessation services.
