From Wuzhen and Gubei Wtown to Yaohu Town

Yaohu Town is a project that is known but not well understood. It is known as one of the largest investments in Yixing. Since the agreement conclusion in August 2017, it has received constant attention and expectation. It is not well understood for there was little publicity on it in the past five years. Although the construction was in full swing, it still remains low profile. Today, we will unveil its mystery and tell you its story.

Lying in Yangxian Ecotourism Resort, Yaohu Town has the total land of about 20000 mu with about 13 billion yuan investment. It consists of Yaohu Town Tourism Zone and Yaohu Xishan Resort Residential Zone. The Yaohu Town Tourism Zone was jointly created by Yada Capital, Harmony Yada and Chen Xianghong team. Yaohu Xishan was built by the core teams from Wuzhen Graceland and Yada Yangxian Xishan with full effort. After completion, it will be one more large-scale leisure tourism and holiday destination exemplar in China.

Yaohu Town is the third cooperation between founder of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning and the person in charge of Wuzhen Town Scenic Area Mr. Chen Xianghong. Mr. Jiang led CYTS for more than one decade. In 2006, he conducted CYTS to hold Wuzhen Tourism. Several years later, he introduced Mr. Chen Xianghong and his team to Beijing to create Gubei Wtown.

During the development in these years, Wuzhen has become one of domestic scenic areas with the best economic benefits. In 2018, the tourist amount has reached 9.15 million and the revenue was 1.905 billion yuan with net profit of 7340 million yuan. Gubei Wtown is one of the most popular leisure tourism destination in Beijing. In 2021, the revenue reached 7680 million yuan with a year-on-year growth of 34.32%, which was rare for domestic scenic areas under the context of epidemic.

Today, both sides worked together once more. They created Yaohu Town based on local cultural elements, including mountain, water, ceramics, bamboo, tea and etc. It would offer high-end ecological experience and services and create new healthiness & leisure and tourism & resort life with local excellent natural resources and historical traditions.

Yangxian Ecotourism Resort, where Yaohu Town locates, has excellent natural landscape of green mountains and clear water. There are dense bamboo forest and tea farms. The forest coverage rate is up to 80%. The negative oxygen ion content remains over 18000/cm3 throughout the year. It was honored as the No. 1 Natural Oxygen Bar in East China. It is an ideal place for leisure, resort and nourishing the mind.

As the ceramics capital of China, Yixing does not only have domestically well-known Zisha (purple sand) Culture, but also is famous for calligraphy, painting and scholars. Here is the birth place of Mr. Xu Beihong, Mr. Wu Guanzhong, Mr. Pan Shu, Mr. Zhou Peiyuan and a galaxy of great masters. In virtue of profound historic culture background of Yixing, the Town has excellent resources for sustainable growth and development in the future.

Yixing, locates on the west side of Taihu Lake. It is the geometric center of Shanghai – Ningbo – Hangzhou. Around it, there are abundant traffic network, including air flight, high-speed rail and expressway. It is 22 kilometers far by car from the Project to Yixing High-speed Railway Station. It costs about 40 minutes by high-speed rail to Hangzhou and Nanjing. After the completion of Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou high-speed rail, it only spends one hour to Shanghai. It is only 2 kilometers far from Yun-Hu Connection of Hang-Chang Expressway that was invested and contructed by Yixing Government with the investment of 2400 million yuan. It only takes one hour driving from Changzhou or Wuxi downtown.

The advantages in traffic and location offers the Town positive market outlook. Within 3 hours’ driving to the Town, there are nine cities with tera-scale GDP, namely Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Hefei, Wuxi, Nantong and Changzhou. The population within the region reaches 1500 million. Yaohu Town will be created into one of the best leisure tourism and resort residential town in the richest region of China. It will be a new exemplar of leisure tourism town in China.

An Exemplar of Leisure Tourism Town

In the past, travel meant sightseeing. Now, it means life. Therefore, both Yaohu Town Scenic Area and Yaohu Xishan residential zone will be created with abundant business types and high quality operation service. First of all, Yaohu Town will be created into a Chinese ancient-style town in the landscape of regions south of Yangtze River with outstanding natural environment and profound humanity background.

In the Scenic Area, we place Republic of China-style Street – one of the most important ancient town streets beside Yaohu Lake. It extends to the valley along the lake. During traveling, travelers and residents could enjoy the life within the landscape while watching the mountain and water landscape.

For a perfect integration of architecture and landscape, Mr. Chen Xianghong drew the building, street and lane and bridge one by one, making every space to bring surprises and creating a sophisticated town.

Secondly, it combines with the local characteristic cultures to create abundant living experience.

Yixing is famous for Zisha (purple sand). For a unique Zisha life, we built a Dragon Kiln complex at the entrance of the scenic area. Here, travelers could learn Zisha history at the Dragon Kiln Exhibition Hall, experience the joy of making potteries at the Kiln Workshop, fire a Zisha cup of his own at Dragon Kiln, boil the tea collected by himself in a Zisha pot, or enjoy the local cuisine cooked in Zisha boiler.

In addition, the Scenic Area is planned with many theme bars, tea houses in different styles, cafés, SPA clubs, hot spring ponds, western restaurants, Japanese restaurants and etc. Travelers could live the same high quality commercial life with that in first-tier cities in the ancient town.

There are also stages, galleries, embroidery workshops, floating market, Da Chang Sauce and Pickle Shop, bamboo weaving workshop, hot pot restaurant, Dofu workshop, Lu Ban temple, Shui Yue nunnery, memorial temples, churches and etc. They would bring exclusive Jiangnan ancient town living experience and make unforgettable and good memories.

Thirdly, it introduces excellent international resources for outstanding experience projects and will be created into a world leading leisure tourism destination.

At Bird Show Theater, we introduce French Puy du Fou, the top ranked performing arts theme park in the world for a featured bird show performance. The performance form is exclusively new at home. After completion, the Theater will be one important IP at Yaohu Town for the first show of this performance form at home, and attract huge crowds of travelers.

The Sightseeing Train is another distinctive experience project in the Scenic Area. The train track is 7 kilometers long. It runs clockwise around the Town. In the future, travelers could pass by the overhead bridge, tunnels, the valley, the bamboo forest, the tea farm and other sights, traveling the whole Town immersively.

In addition, the Town will also build an ecological water park integrating leisure, paddling and watching. In the Park, there will be varied kinds of water entertainment projects and facilities, such as the water village, the wave pond, the rainbow slide rail, children water village and water pond. Travelers could enjoy the water joyfully.

The town has natural hot spring with radon. The water quality has reached the standard of medical value upon examination. Therefore, we created featured hot spring SPA for travelers to enjoy a relaxed and healthy leisure holiday.

Fourthly, a high-end resort hotel complex and the international conference & exhibition canter meet diversified high-end holiday demands.

There are near 3000 guest rooms at Yaohu Town. Ideal Life from Travel to Dwelling

For the ideal holiday life from travel to dwelling, we planed a high quality holiday residential zone – Yaohu Xishan at the Town.

Yaohu Xishan has the total land of about 600 mus with four housing clusters that are linked into an elegant landscape living space by bamboo forest, tea farm and scenic area suitable for both dynamic and static activities. The first housing cluster of Yaohu Xishan is Bamboo Rain, locating at the west side of Yaohu Town Scenic Area and is the closest to the Scenic Area.

At Yaohu Xishan, we celebrate the modern life aesthetics of nature, freedom, purity and simplicity, and hope to construct high quality leisure tourism lifestyle in the nature. Therefore, we create a Qingyu Lake Park of about 200 mu in the center of four housing clusters.

Around Qingyu Lake, on one side there are supporting facilities in natural landscape including Qingyu Tower, Bamboo Forest Walkway, Starry Sky Camp and Tea House, introducing residents into a comfortable life in the nature.

On the other side, it is planned with a commercial street of about more than 10000 ㎡ and other facilities, including resident’s canteen “Xishan Restaurant” and Life Supermarket and Fitness Center, meeting their demands on daily life.

In addition, we planned the Town Center of about 27000 m2 outside of Yaohu Town Scenic Area and near Yaohu Xishan.

Town Center has the commerce for daily life, such as a supermarket, a fruit and vegetable store, a fresh food market, a bakery, a laundry, restaurants and homestays, and facilities for leisure entertainment, such as temples, tea houses, stages and the watermill. That could fully meet the demands of residents on diversified and good quality commercial life.

To create a classic project, Yaohu Xishan invites Mr. Lu Hao, the CEO of GOA to be in charge of architecture design, and invites Chongqing Chengji Landscape Design Institute for landscape design.

The façade uses large scale glass and modern design method to create comfortable and relaxing holiday atmosphere. It aims to build a Peach Garden as modern people’s dwelling in the nature.

Different from the traditional layout of urban housing, the landscape of Yaohu Xishan plans several theme tablelands and yards. By artistic terrain design, such as gentle slope and hill, it builds relaxing, free and leisure experience.

The house type uses horizontal arrangement or side living room with corner terrace to introduce maximum light in. It mainly offers the houses of 85 m2, 145 m2 and 165 m2. The top story offers 155 -218 m2 with Air Park, meeting the living demands of different age groups of residence. Moreover, the first floor has a garden. Residents could realize their dream of living in a yard with a mountain view.
