Ageless Center is designed by Japan Universal Design Office Inc with 1500 m2 of the construction area, it is China’s first comprehensive aged-care center aiming to create a platform for exhibition, experiencing and trading in products related to air purge, travel auxiliary, bath auxiliary, nursing care, dining assistance, residence refurbishment, and elderly-oriented building materials, etc.
It displays high quality aged-care product resources from Japan, Europe, America, Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland. Along the tour following human hypofunction process, visitors will experience and learn products in real use environment at mock-up rooms, interactive play zone and experience exchange area. Ageless Center provides one-stop solution for aged people and nursing homes.
The independent showroom is designed for the elderly who may completely look after themselves in daily life. Although the apartment structure is similar to the common apartment, but there’re reinforced building material in the wall for the possible future aged-oriented renovation. The different height shower nozzle and lifting kitchen basket maximumly delay the deterioration of the elderly’s mental and body.
The semi-independent showroom is designed for the slight disabled who has basic self-help ability but need manual or equipment assistance in some aspects. For example, L type kitchen replacing the line-styled, elderly-oriented desk and chair, professional nursing bed, movable toilet, movable handrail and rotatable bath chair etc. All these designs aim to keep the independence of the elderly and let them enjoy life while being cared for as much as possible.
The admitted living people is the elderly who need 24 hours nursing. The room equipped with special bath facility, nursing bed, nursing desk etc. besides traditional living facilities. For example, replacing fixed handrail with up-on handrail for the convenience of the caregivers. Outward opening bath equipment make it easier for wheelchair to come in. Yamato nursing bed from Japan can adjust to the most comfortable angle through multiple ways like backside, knees, height and back knee joint adjustment.
In this area, visitors could experience the body hypofunction through wearing special equipment. By building up different height steps and ramps, the caregivers could have the actual experience of blurred vision, hearing loss, anchyloses and limbs flaccid which the elderly may feel, so that they could provide more appropriate nursing service.
This area combines digital game with rehabilitation theory and designs three types of recreation rehabilitation including wall, ground and desktop in order to enhance metal and body functions through upper limbs, legs, discrimination and retention exercise.
The wheelchair display area simulates the actual road environment regarding to door opening/closing, ramp and height difference,enables visitors to experience different wheelchair types and learn about the scientific usage.
The extra comfortable and constant temperature shower integrates two bathing ways through wide-range spiral-type nozzle. By taking a shower, people can not only clean their bodies well, but also achieve the same warm-up effect as bathing in a tub. This new shower equipment is popular among families and represents the detail focusing spirit and technological innovation of Panasonic's R&D team.
Elderly-oriented living product is an important component of aged-care products. These well-designed, excellent-made and humanized small objects show the care for the elderly and provide convenience and help for their daily life.
The nano-steam bath room breaks water drops into 300-500 tiny particles of nano and heat them for penetrating textile fiber and reaching the skin, which has the function of both bathing and beautify. You could even read newspaper inside with your clothes on and the newspaper would keep dry.
