4th Yangxian Xishan Golden Autumn Latern Festival and Arts Festival Completed Successfully

From September 29th to October 4th, the 4th Yangxian Yangxian Xishan Golden Autumn Latern Festival and Yangxian Mountain & Lake Arts Festival was held at Yada Yangxian Xishan Town Center grandly. Dazzling lanterns and culture & art feast offered tourists a forgettable festival.

Different from the past Lantern Festival, this Festival showed the cultural history and ancient street life in Yangxian by 20 groups of lanterns with the theme of “Humanity Xishan”. All lanterns were made and installed by masters from Zigong, Sichuan that was known as “the town of Chinese lanterns”. Tea, ceramics, bamboo and local custom were present in the town by colorful lanterns, creating a light landscape.

Yangxian Mountain & Lake Arts Festival invited Russian dancer Gudenko Maria, Brazil dancer Maykol Cruz, Monkey Bread Mandine Drum Band and other popular artists home and abroad, to offer abundant performance to tourists. The Arts Festival also provided theme exhibition, trendy party, DIY handmakings, magic show and various kinds of pops, adding strong artistic atmosphere to Xishan.

During the Activity, Jiangnan Creation Fair was held at the same time. More than 40 featured booths included craftsman creation, art of scholars and pastries. Tourists could feel strong sense of life while enjoying lanterns and the moon.

Yangxian Xishan Golden Autumn Lantern Festival is one of brand activities in Xishan town. Since the 1st festival in 2020, the activity has held four times. The themes, making skills and content continue to enrich. It has become a vivid practise of integrating of ecological tourism and cultural experience, and began the development of all-in-one tourism in Yixing, and becomes the power to promote cultural tourism economy in Yixing southern mountain area.
