“13th Five-year Plan” Healthcare Plan: Ratio of Doctor and Nurse Up to 1:1.25

Recently, the State Council issued “the 13th Five-year Plan Hygiene and Healthcare Planning that said, till 2020, the basic medical care and health system covering urban and rural residents will be basically in place, everyone will have access to basic medical and health services, the life expectancy will be one year longer than that in 2015, over 77.3 years old. According to the Document, during the “13th Five-year Plan” period, the ratio of doctors and nurses will reach 1:1.25, the ratio of hospital beds and nurses in the municipal and higher level hospitals will not lower than 1:0.6, and the number of public health workers for per thousand resident population will reach 0.83.
