State Council: Establish Multilevel Aged-care Insurance System

Recently, the State Council issued “the 13th Five-year Plan” National Aging Program Development and Aged-care System Construction Plan. The File asked to develop, implement, improve and reform the basic aged-care insurance system general program, improve the basic aged-care insurance system combing the social pooling and the personal account, establish multilevel aged-care insurance system covering occupational pension, supplementary pension, personal saving for old age and commercial insurance. On the other hand, the File asked to explore the establishment of long-term nursing insurance system, encourage commercial insurance companies to develop marketable long-term nursing insurance product and service to meet diverse and multilevel long-term nursing demands of the aged people.
