Ministries Issued to Cope with Accelerated Aging Population

Recently, National Health and Family Planning Commission jointly several Ministries and Departments issued “the 13th Five-year Plan” Healthy Aging Program, for the purpose of coping with an accelerated aging trend and realizing a healthy aging progress. The File asks, during the 13th Five-year Plan period, to further optimize the healthcare resource distribution for the aged, strengthen medical and rescue, rehabilitation and care, the combination of medical and nursing, establish a aged-people healthcare service system applicable to the domestic economic and social development, and continue promoting the aged people’s healthy level.
