Blue Paper: More than Half Chinese Handicapped Has Rehabilitation Demands

The recently published blue paper China Handicapped Program Development Report (2017) shows, the total population of all handicapped in China is 85 million, nearly 50 million of whom need rehabilitation. In China, the population of aged handicapped over 60 years’ old rapidly increases by 1.545 million annually, those over 65, 1.465 million annually. Prior to 2035, the increase of handicapped over 60 years’ old every five years will be more than 7 million. Till 2050, the aged handicapped will reach 103 million.
