On the 10th November 2016, Vice President and Chairman of Zhejiang Yada International Rehabilitation Hospital (Yada IRH) Ms. Gao Xiang and CEO of Singapore Changi General Hospital (CGH) Dr. Lee Chien Earn signed the Strategic Cooperation Memo in Singapore. The Medical Director of Yada IRH Mr. Gu Xudong, Medical Board Chairman of CGH Prof. Teo Eng Kiong, COO Mr. Tay Teng Choon, Director of Rehabilitation Medicine Department Dr. Sherry Young, Director of Geriatric Medicine Department Dr. Koh Lip Hoe and other 10 more departments heads and community responsible persons attended the signing ceremony.
The future cooperation between Yada IRH and CGH will involve the technical exchanges & talent education, the medical services & consultancy as well as the R&D products innovation. On the ceremony, CGH COO Mr. Tay Teng Choon and the Medical Director of Yada IRH Mr. Gu Xudong addressed on the mutual cooperation. The newly-built strategic partnership will help the two hospitals to promote the technical capabilities and the industrial status, and continue to push the development of the rehabilitation medicine and the geriatric medicine both in China and in Singapore.
After the meeting, Chairman Ms. Gao Xiang and the Medical Director Mr. Gu Xudong paid a special visit to the Rehabilitation Medicine Department and the Geriatric Medicine Department of CGH, and had discussions to refine the mutual service content with Manager of International Medical Service Operations, CGH, Mr. Eric Kow, Chief Nurse of Nursing Administration Ms. Palin Koh, Director of Nursing Education Ms. Lee Yen Yen and the Advanced Practice Nurse Ms. Png Gek Kheng.
From 11th to 12th November 2016, Chairman Ms. Gao Xiang and the Medical Director Mr. Gu Xudong attended the Summit of EHA Annual Scientific Meeting (EHASM) 2016 on invitation. EHASM is a significant event of Eastern Health Alliance, Singapore. This year, Mr. Gam Kim Yong, Minister for Health Singapore was present and delivered opening speech. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Transitions of Care”. Five tracks have been organized for it: Innovation; Community Palliative and Mental Health; Integrated Care; Redesigning Care Processes; and Healthcare Education.
CGH is a well-known general hospital in Singapore with over 1000 beds and 20 departments. It’s the key member of Eastern Health Alliance, and has been JCI accredited since 2005.
