Aged-care Facility Special Planning Formulation Guideline (Trial) Issued in Zhejiang

Recently, Zhejiang Construction Department, Civil Affairs Department jointly issued Zhejiang Aged-care Facility Special Planning Formulation Guideline (Trial). According to the Guideline, the aged-care facilities will be classified into three categories: nursing facility, assistant facility and home-based facility based on the elderly’s care requirement and health conditions. The nursing facility mainly offers nursing service to the disabled elders and dementia who need long-term care and demi-disabled elders who need lots of routine nursing service and the nursing beds of such facility exceed 60% of all beds. The assistant facility mainly offers mobility service to dependent elders and those who need mobility service in daily life, and the nursing beds in such facility exceed 20% of total beds. The home-based facility provides dependent or half-dependent home service and is allowed to be equipped with home kitchen partially, and such facility mainly serves dependent elders and those who need mobility service in daily life.
