4th Wuzhen Graceland Opera Festival Held

On October 1st 2018, 4th Wuzhen Graceland Opera Festival was grandly held at Wuzhen Yada International Health Ecological Park, at the time of China’s National Day. Opera amateurs from Graceland have come together to give a wonderful performance to residents there.

At the Festival, a variety of artistic forms were performed with rich content and broad topics, including Peking Opera, Henan Opera, Shaoxing Opera, Suzhou Pingtan Opera, Poetry Recitation, Dancing and so on. The show was fantastic for mellow singing and vivid performance.

The Festival began with the Peking Opera Beijing Dream, which made the audience feel like being personally on the scene. Henan Opera Hongzhou War selection, Recapture the Seal selection and Bamboo Hat Country Leader selection, Shaoxing Opera Emerald Hairpin selection and Wen-Xiu He selection, Suzhou Pingtan Opera My Name is National Liberation Army, Poetry Recitation Pride of the Elderly and Peking Opera Legend of the White Snake selection were successively performed. The elaborate performance won sincere applause from the audience.

So far, Graceland Opera Festival has four-year history and employed more forms of art and new elements. As one of the most important cultural celebrations in Graceland, the Opera Festival strengthens the elderly’s spiritual life construction and promotes the neighborhood relationship. It has been one spiritual label of Graceland residents and the manifestation of Yada’s spiritual and cultural service for the elderly in the whole aged-care industrial chain.
