Beijing's Convenience Stores Start to Sell Medicine

Recently, Beijing Chaoyang District Food and Drug Administration issued a distinctive "pharmaceutical business license". The certified unit is not a common pharmacy, but a chain convenience store - Jingkelong. The store has been registered to operate the second class of medical devices, which means that the convenience store is officially qualified to operate drugs and medical devices. This also marks the first convenience store in Beijing which may handle drugs and medical devices.
