Four Ministries: Private Medical institution Could Directly Apply For Nursing Home

Recently, the General Offices of National Health Commission, Ministry of Civil Affairs, General Administration of Market Supervision and State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Examination and Approval of Medical and Aged-care Integrated Institution. The Notice clarifies that a medical and aged-care integrated institution refers to a medical institution or an aged-care institution which has both medical qualification and n nursing care service capability. Civil affairs departments at all levels no longer implement the establishment of licenses for aged-care institutions. If a medical institution with legal person status applies for the establishment of an aged-care institution, there is no need to establish a new legal person, and no separate legal person registration is required.
