Shanghai Releases A Negative List of Medical Technology Including 30 Restricted Technologies

Recently, Shanghai Health Committee issues the “Detailed Rules for Clinical Application Implementation Management Measures of Medical Technology” with a list of negative categories of prohibited and restricted medical technologies, including 15 prohibited ones which should not use clinically; 30 restricted ones which need filing. The Regulations will come into force on August 15, 2019. Medical technologies that are not included in the list, medical institutions may decide to use clinically according to their own functions, tasks and technical capabilities.
