“Poetic Yangxian Xishan, Warm Double Ninth Festival” Cultural Fair Successfully Held

“Man ages all too easily, not nature. Year by year, the Double Ninth returns.” On October 7th, the day of Double Ninth Festival and also the 70thAnniversary of PRC Founding, “Poetic Pottery Capital·Yangxian Xishan Double Ninth Festival Cultural Fair” was grandly held at Yada Yangxian Xishan project to eulogize motherland and celebrate life. The event was sponsored by Yada Health Ecological Park and Yixing Urban Construction & Cultural Tourism Group, and undertaken by Yixing Yada Real Estate Company, Yixing Tourism and Cultural Creation Media Company, Yixing Association of Elocutionist, Poetry Committee of Yixing Writers’ Union and Jingxi Poetry Club. More than 70 people attended the event including General Manager of Yada Health Ecological Park Mr. Liu Naifa, General Manager of Yixing Urban Construction & Cultural Tourism Group Ms. Xu Wenxia, well-known poets and writers Mr. Xu Feng, Mr. Yang Kui and Mr. Tao Dufeng as well as writers from Yixing Writers’ Union and Jingxi Poetry Club.

At the beginning, General Manager of Yixing Yada Health Ecological Park Mr. Liu Naifa gave the welcome speech on behalf of the sponsors. He introduced Yada Yangxian Xishan’s construction concept, invited poets, writers and artists to collect inspiration from the poetic landscape and spread its natural and cultural attractions to more people. Vice Chairman of Yixing Writers’ Union Mr. Fan Shuangxi called upon poets to merge the landscape of Yangxian Xishan into their works from the view of poem creation based on nature and culture there. Yixing literature and history expert Mr. Ye Jusen gave a speech lecture named Su Dongpo and Yixing on the relationship between Mr. Su and Yixing city at last.

Under the theme of Poetic Yangxian Xishan and Warm Double Ninth Festival, the event combined pottery-themed life elements of Yixing through all activities, namely poem, writing, painting, zither, art and tea. President of Jingxi Poetry Club Mr. Wu Kairong recited his poem Celebrate Motherland’s 70th Birthday with passion to start the Event. The poem narrated the poet’s praise to the great country. Prose chapters written by Mr. Tao Dufeng “From Wild Mountains to Yangxian Xishan” was recited by Ms. Xu Qi, inspiring resonance of deep love to Yangxian Xishan among the participants. Old poets including Ms. Zhao Qinfen and Mr. Guo Xinglin also read poems to express their fervor on the nation, the hometown and life from deep inside. Head of Wuxi Pingtan Regiment Mr. Gu Guoliang gave an improvisation named Yangxian Xishan， receiving warm applause from the audience by his solid Pingtan skill and perfect articulation.

With the accompaniment of Chinese zither by music master Ms. Luo Shuping, Yixing Association of Elocutionist members Mr. Gu Chenghui and Ms. Zhu Lan recited the poem “High Tower - Yada Dongpo Pavilion” created by local old poet Mr. Bi Shixiong. The calligrapher Mr. Xie Caixin gave an off-the-cuff calligraphy. His writing with strong artistic appeal brought the fair to its climax.

All poets climbed up to the landmark landscape building of Yada Yangxian Xishan Town Center – Dongpo Pavilion – to express their feelings on Double Ninth Festival and enjoy the beauty of life by reading a poem together.

This Double Ninth Cultural Fair is not only a cultural feast, but also the beginning of poetic life of Yada Yangxian Xishan, where Yada will continuously introduce the natural landscape into the living, and make life romantic. The project will offer wide art space for dwelling and creation.

In the activity, Yixing Writers’ Union, Poetry Committee and Yixing Jingxi Poetry Club jointly awarded Yada Ynagxian Xishan the title of Poetry Creation Base, which aiming to encourage more popular poems creation on the poetical land.
