China's Total Domestic Tourism Revenue 2019 Reaches 6.63 Trillion

The China Tourism Academy recently released the Basic Situation of the National Tourism Market 2019. In general, the domestic tourism market and the outbound tourism market have grown steadily. The number of domestic tourists in the year was 6.006 billion, an increase of 8.4% over the same period of the previous year; the total tourism revenue for the year was 6.63 trillion yuan, an increase of 11% year-on-year.

In addition, the number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad reached 155 million, an increase of 3.3% over the same period last year. The number of inbound tourists was 145 million, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year. International tourism revenue was 131.3 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.3% over the same period last year. In the number of foreign tourists, Asia accounted for 75.9% and Europe accounted for 13.2%.
