Yixing ITZ and Yada HEP Promotion and Coordination Meeting Held

On April 16th 2020, Secretary of Yixing Municipal Party Committee Mr. Shen Jian led the leadership of Municipal Development and Reform Committee, Finance Bureau, Natural Resources Planning Bureau and other departments to investigate the construction progress of Yixing International Tourism Zone (ITZ) and Yada Health Ecological Park (HEP).

Yixing ITZ locates at Zhangzhu Town with the planned investment of 13 billion yuan. It is designed as a leisure tourism destination integrating participation and experience by the service pattern covering cultural creation, travel, outdoor activities, experience, catering, accommodation and exhibition. Now the area of over 500,000 m2 has been under construction. Three Hotels and Three Centers are proceeding steadily, among which Yaohu Hotel has completed the main body construction and Tourists Center has passed the preliminary testing of the engineering.

Yada Health Ecological Park (HEP) lies at Hufu Town with the planned investment of 8 billion yuan. Now some public facilities have completed the construction and come into service, including Lakeside Park, Dopong Pavilion, Culture & Art Center, Yada Academy and Town Canteen. Within this year, Phase I will be delivered and Town Center will be completed and open. Moreover, a batch of new supporting facilities, such as Yada Theater, Sports Fitness Center and Yada Hospital have begun construction successively. The completion of this Project will greatly improve and enhance the industry matching capacity of Yixing Yangxian National Tourism Zone.

After investigation, Secretary Mr. Shen Jian held the above two Projects’ Promotion and Coordination Meeting at Yada Yangxian Xishan. Chairman of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning, Deputy Director of Yixing NPC Mr. Zhou Bin, Deputy Mayor Mr. Ma Zhong, Vice Chairman of Yixing CPPCC Mr. Qian Weixing and the leadership of related functional authorities & towns as well as the Projects’ responsible people attended the meeting. Participants had thematic discussions around topics of relocation, forest land type transformation, land supply, hydraulic engineering & air-raid shelters and supporting facilities construction such as road traffic and parking lots.

Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning expressed his gratitude to Yixing Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, relevant towns and functional departments for their great supports in the past two years. He said, “for project construction has entered the critical period, I expect both sides to strengthen communication and work together for the high quality project construction, making the project contribute to social and economic development of Yixing as early as possible.”

Deputy Mayor Mr. Ma Zhong asked all departments to understand the significance of the two Projects for Yixing tourism and healthcare & aged-care industrial development. All departments should strengthen service awareness, build up & improve coordination mechanism, further promote work efficiency and support the project construction in an effective way.

In the concluding remarks, Secretary Mr. Shen Jian fully affirmed the positive effects brought out by the two Projects. He pointed out that, since the conclusion of the Agreement, related departments and local authorities fulfill their responsibilities, offer active services, and work closely with the project side under the project construction leading group coordination. Moreover, the first-class planning design concept, outstanding construction organization capacity and efficient operation management level of the project side jointly ensure the smooth progress. Mr. Shen Jian asked that, the related departments at all levels should, under the guidance of new development concept,  remain the strategic focus, give prominence to the projects, make good performance in in-depth city development driven by industries, and push forward high-quality development by high-quality projects.
