First Market-oriented Elderly-Oriented Renovation Pilot Project Launched in Shanghai

In 2020, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau launched the room environment elderly-oriented renovation pilot project for elderly families at partial streets. This is also nationally first market-oriented elderly-oriented renovation project. This pilot focuses on the local elderly over 60-year old and offer a mechanism of “subsidiary by government + discount by enterprises + payment partially by residents”. According to some application standards, such as the affordability of the elderly and their nursing level, the elderly can apply corresponding subsidiary. Shanghai Room Environment Elderly-oriented Renovation Service Platform offers more than 60 products and services under 3 categories for the elderly.
