From October 30th to November 9th, Hyatt Black Pearl Chef Arrival activity was carried out at Alila Wuzhen. Since entering into Hyatt Group, Alila Wuzhen faced with more challenges and opportunities. It was committed to offer better services and featured contents to every guest.
During this activity, Alila Wuzhen invited three chefs, namely David Du from New Continent Chinese Kitchen of Hyatt on the Bund, Harris Zhang from Seafood House Park of Hyatt Ningbo Resort & Spa and Colin Cheng from Chinese restaurant NO.28 Hubin Road of Grand Hyatt Hangzhou, to Sishui Restaurant. They would have exchanges with local chef team on how to combine with Wuzhen local ingredients and the positioning of Alila Wuzhen flavors and execute.
Black Pearl Restaurant was a restaurant featuring Chinese food and beverage evaluated by Meituan. Their chefs were renowned for high standards and strict requirements on food in the industry. They selected good-quality material and employed fine cooking process to ensure exquisite taste of each dish. Wuzhen featured freshwater fish and local pork. The three chefs invented the steamed white fish with fresh chili and pepper, local pork chop braised with bamboo shoot and other fine dishes inspired by water town.
On October 30th, after the first banquet, three chefs received an media interview. They gave their comments on Alila Wuzhen and the local dishes. Chef David Du said, Shanghai food with watertown features required local flavors and the nature of "wow" that was also the mission of Alila. This was a significant creation activity. He expected every guest of Sishui restaurant could have new experience on those featured local dishes.
These dishes seemed common but were cooked with conscientiousness of Black Pearl chefs. As what Chef David Du said, "we came here to bring more exquisite delicacies to Alila guests."
Familiar ingredients got upgrading flavors. That was the magic of Black Pearl delicacies.
