Recently, Alila Wuzhen was verified by the STAR Facility Accreditation from Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), and has been approved to use the official GBAC STAR seal.
GBAC is a division of International Social Security Association (ISSA). GBAC STAR Accreditation affirms the ability and work practices of facilities to prepare for, respond to and recover from pandemics. There are 20 GBAC STAR Program elements, including standard operating procedures, risk assessment strategies, personal protective equipment as well as emergency preparedness and response, etc. It helps a facility to establish and maintain a cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention program to minimize risks associated with infectious agents (like SARS-CoV-2 and COVID019), which guarantees the safety of staff, clients and community environment.
Since the outbreak of the Pandemics in 2020, Alila Wuzhen followed the principle of “health and safety of clients and staff come first” by updating the operating regulations and staff management framework overall based on Hyatt’s Global Care and Cleanliness Commitment. Upon the introduction of GBAC STAR Accreditation by Hyatt, the Hotel have implemented the accreditation standards and carried out careful check for hotel experience to fulfill the safety commitment.

Alila Wuzhen cleans and disinfects the Hotel lobby, guest rooms, food and beverage facilities, SPA and public area every day according to the strictest cleaning standard. It also observes the anti-epidemic requirements carefully, including wearing PPE, washing hands frequently, regular ventilation, thermometry, etc. to minimize risks associated with viral transmission and offer safe client experience.
