2021 Yangxian Spring Festival Activity Held Successfully at Town Center

On January 23rd, “Welcome Spring Festival with Blessings – 2021 Yangxian Chinese New Year Activity” by Yangxian Ecological Tourism Resort was held at Town Center of Yada Yangxian Xishan as plan. Twenty calligraphers from Zhangzhu town wrote Town residents and tourists Spring Festival couplets as the new lunar year’s blessings.

At the activity, calligraphers wielded their writing brushes to write Spring Festival couplets with strong feeling of new lunar year and best wishes, which added joyous atmosphere to the approaching festival. Each pair of couplets was composed of beautiful wording with neat antithesis and was enhanced by powerful calligraphy.

Ink was drying on red papers. Town residents were wearing smiles on their faces. The activity was full of happiness.

Pasting Spring Festival Couplets is a way to express happiness and also a part of Chinese traditional culture. Pasting delicate couplets on the gate means the approaching of Spring Festival. The taste of new lunar year is also the taste of human kindness. These couplets by the calligraphers have brought Town residents beautiful blessings, including happiness, luck, safety, family reunion, prosperity and longevity, enhancing the festival atmosphere.  

Through the activity, people felt joyous atmosphere of new lunar year at Town Center. They were reminded fine traditional custom for new year. At the end of the year, they would keep forward with warmth in heart.

The successful activity did not only make the residents of Yada Yangxian Xishan and tourists to feel strong cultural background of Yixing as the home of painting and calligraphy, but also brought deep affection and warmth to people as Spring Festival approaching. In the future, Yada Yangxian Xishan will persistently provide space for the development of Yangxian culture and make the life at the Town poetic and cultural.
