Love in Double Ninth Festival - Gaochun Graceland TCM Free Clinic Held Successfully

Respecting, loving, caring and helping the elderly is one of traditional virtues of Chinese nation. On the Double Ninth Festival, Graceland Lohas Service Center held “Love in Double Ninth Festival - TCM Health Free Clinic” at F/3 of Graceland Lohas Center jointly with Gaochun District Health Commission, Gaochun Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Riverside Community of Chunxi Street and Graceland Kindergarten successfully.

Medical experts from 11 major departments of Gaochun TCM Hospital, namely cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine of TCM, endocrinology, gastroenterology, ENT, dermatology, geriatrics, ophthalmology, surgery, pneumology as well as acupuncture and rehabilitation, offered on-site diagnosis and treatment. 

They answered questions on varied kinds of health problems patiently, took their pulse and measured their blood pressure, and offered professional clinical suggestions to the elderly.

During the Free Clinic, participants queued in front of the featured acupuncture and rehabilitation booth. The featured TCM rehabilitation technique, massage, cupping therapy, scraping and etc. to dredge the channels, relieve the pains were very popular.

Besides the Free Clinic, TCM Health Lecture by the doctor of Geriatric Department was very popular. It turned cold. The doctor introduced wellness knowledge and TCM method for body conditioning in autumn, helping the elderly to shape healthy lifestyle and living habits.

During the event, children from Graceland Kindergarten brought wonderful performance to the audience. They even made sweet Double Ninth cakes to express the festival wishes to grandpas and grandmas. In addition, many news media like NJTV, GaochunTV and Xinhua Daily Media, interviewed the elderly present, and highly spoke of the event. 

According to Madam Li, she expected to keep fit that her family had less pressure to care her. Now she could receive expert's medical service in front of the door. That was so good. She expected more such activities in the future.

The Event was highly praised by the elderly. More than 200 residents received medical service during the Event. The oldest one was 86 years old. With professional medical service and warm care, the elderly residents spent a happy Double Ninth Festival.
