China Domestic Tourism Development Annual Report 2021 Released Recently

Recently, China Academy of Tourism (Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Data Center) has released the "Annual Report on China's Domestic Tourism Development 2021". The report points out that affected by the epidemic, the number of domestic tourists in 2020 was 2.879 billion, a decrease of half compared with 2019. Domestic Tourism revenue was 2.23 trillion yuan, a decrease of 60% compared with 2019. 2021 is the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", tourism industry is expected to recovergradually. It is estimated that the number of domestic tourists will reach 3.915 billion, and the domestic tourism revenue will reach 3.31 trillion yuan in 2021, an increase of 36% and 48% year-on-year, returning to 65% and 58% of the same period in 2019 respectively.
