A Gathering with Sense of Ritual

At the end of a year, the weather goes into the winter. On November 27th, Graceland residents gathered together for a family feast. As appointment, each family brought their signature dish to the feast.

The family feast was held at Luming Tea House in Gucheng Bay - our residents' backyard garden.

The venue locates at the beautiful yard with plain walls and black tiles. It was decorated with few pieces of paintings and calligraphies and some graceful plants. Before beginning of the feast, the venue had been full of warmth and sense of ceremony.

NO. 2

Sharing Love and Delicacies with Neighbors

Delicious taste of the life exists in daily dinners. 

The real intention of the family feast is sharing. All participators began to prepare the menu a few days before the feast. On the morning of that day, they chose freshest food and material early and cooked carefully, only for showing the best dish of their own.

The table was filled with private dishes, making little happiness in such a cold day. Madam Ge brought her shrimp sauce and secret-making duck wings. That was the taste of mother. Fried slice steaky pork with chili cooked by a trendy hot mom was both delicious and good-looking, making all participants enjoyable.

Madam Li cooked an elaborate jade-like meat jelly and fried sliced pork with dried tangerine peel that had been well known at Graceland. Even the decoration details displayed her regard to family members.

Around the table, all neighbors toasted to each other and chatted daily life happily, feeling warm from inside to outside. It was a party both for new neighbors to know each other and for old friends to gather together. During the feast, all people became new family members.

NO. 3

A Touched Ideal Lifestyle

The house was filled with fragrance of food. Residents were happy to drink. They talked about their idea and life like family members.

When the feast reached to a new high, talented residents began to perform like singing and dancing, adding happy moments to the Feast.

Mr. Hu sang the song Glorious Years, sharing the good moment with neighbors but also becoming the sample of his four-year-old daughter. He taught her to be brave and gave her power.

Uncle Zhou and Madam Ge sang a song Only You in My Mind, showing the best state of marriage to the young generation. They were dependent to each other emotionally, but independent in life. They had their own space and hobbies. They joined in hands for the whole life.

During the Feast, Graceland staff awarded the founding presidents of the resident clubs with prizes. That was the honor to the builders of good Graceland life, but also our gratitude for them to spread positive energy.

Sharing delicacies, making real friends, sharing life experience ... that was the meaning of neighborhood. Before the end of the Feast, all people invited other ones to their home. In the Feast, we felt real warmth, friendship and a sharing community.
