Sunshine, thorough understanding, absorbing elegance, mountains with water, fresh fragrance and clear mind ... these aesthetic words are both the image of ancient pomes and the life at Yangxian Xishan. Based on these key words, Xishan residents with common interests joined together and set up varied kinds of interest clubs one by one.

At Yada Academy, all participants play musical instruments, read books, recite poems ... Clubs were set up one by one. Joy of life is nourished in the landscape, making the life in Xishan more poetic.

01 Sunshine Club | Daily Life Full of Daily Joy

Daily Activities of Sunshine Club

Sunshine Club is a resident club that the average age of the members is the oldest one at Yangxian Xishan. Most of members are over 80 years old. 

Since the opening of the Club, the elderly often rehearsed singing, cultivating their taste. Led by warm neighbors, they played Eight Trigrams Boxing to loose physique. They play cards and chat beside the pool, joyfully. All members enter into the community yard out of home, enjoying more colorful life by varied kinds of club activities.

The Club made the elderly no more lonely. With neighbors, they talk about their life experience, share daily interest and make the life at Xishan more colorful and sunny.

02 Dongda Research | Meet Better Life on the Way

The most beautiful scenery is on the road.

At the end of June 2021, Journey of Hexi Corridor started the first research and study travel of Xishan residents. From Huanghe in Lanzhou to grottoes of Bingling Temple at Liujiaxia, from Han dynasty tombs of Leitai at Wuwei to Great Buddha Temple in Zhangye, from the gate tower at Jiayuguan Pass to Mogao Caves at Dunhuang ... all participants learnt during the trip with the explanation of tutors. They deeply learnt the history culture on the Silk Road, enlarged the knowledege range and widened the sight. After this Trip, Dongda Research Club was officially established.

At the opening of West Hall of Suzhou Museum, they visited the Museum to explore the beauty of Suzhou works together with the impression to the old Suzhou Museum. Dongda (in Chinese pinyin) means deep research to the humanity and landscape and thorough understanding on good life. At Dongda Research and Study Club, all people pursue the poetic landscape and meet better life.

03  Jiya Calligraphy and Painting | Paint Poetic Life in Ink

Making friends by painting and writing, delivering concepts by skills, educating temperament during writing ... The life of Xishan residents turns more colorful. 

That is the original intension and mission of Jiya Calligraphy and Painting Club.

In the Club, there are both amateur calligraphy and painting creators and a lot of learns who like calligraphy and painting. Residents from Bamboo, Lake and other communities gathered together to copy Caoquan tablet, enjoying the long history of Chinese cultivation and relaxed Xishan life.

Once there is a new calligraphy and painting exhibition, they would together go to visit. With the explanation of professional tutors, they understood the charm of calligraphy and painting art and improving their own taste. The traditional art has been integrated into the daily life.

04 Xishan Tea Party | Taste Seasons in Tea Aroma

In Jiangnan mountains and waters far way from the crowd, meet friends with tea, taste and talk about tea, learn the tea-making skills from each other, close to the nature by tea, explore the history and cultivate the temperament through tea.

Meet neighbors by the side of Yangxian Lake. Enjoy fragrant tea and the landscape of Xishan.

Yixing is a domestically famous tea town. Yangxian tea in Yixing was a tribute in Tang Dynasty. Residents at Xishan are influenced by what they see and experience and have formed sophisticated tea-drinking habits. In the Chinese-style yard, with a few friends around the tea table enjoy the change of weather and the growth of floras. It is the daily tea time of Xishan residents. For tea, they become closer to each other by climbing tea mountain, tasting tea aroma and sharing their treasure to exchange the tea-cooking experience. Tea makes the life at Xishan more leisure.

05 Qingfen Orchid Club | Natural Interest from Floras 

The fragrance of orchid is as elegant as the aesthetics of the Orchid Club members. Orchid, one of traditional Chinese famous flowers, is loved by refined scholars for its simplicity and elegance. It is honored as one of four gentlemen of flowers. An orchid passage means beautiful words. An orchid friend means a true friend.

Residents at Xishan are familiar with the orchid. In the Chinese-style yard, there are a lot of orchid.

The Orchid Club was organized by residents who were interested in orchid plantation at Xishan. It is aimed to join the residents who have the common interest to learn the orchid growth habit, experience the process from sprouting, growing to blooming, enjoy the elegant and naturally graceful shape, and feel the good life with the fragrance of orchid in the Club.

06  Lakeside Singing Club to Salute the Good Life 

They joined together for the common hobby - singing. At the side of Yangxian Lake, they sang for the youth and great times. Most members of the Club come from the Vocal Class of Yada Academy. In the class, they study together and made friends with each other. With the professional guidance, their skills got more and more mature.

Visit Jun Ceramic Institute

Xinyin Ceremic Club is a place for Xishan residents to feel, enjoy and learn ceramic. They had talks with the nature and the civilization and felt the beauty of hand craft, and connect to their own interesting inside by clay.

Here, their master cups were made by themselves. Here, there was no worry about no craft skill. The Ceramic Class of Yada Academy reminded the joy of playing clay at the childhood. With the guidance of professional tutors, all members could complete a satisfied ceramic work. The name Xinyin means to express the life experience and aesthetics pursuit by ceramic works.

Yangxian Xishan offers beautiful natural landscape and convenient and healthy living space. Here is well equipped with cultural and sports supporting facilities and full of rich cultural life.
