Self-selected Works of Yang Kui Sharing Session Held at Yada Yangxian Xishan Successfully

On the afternoon of May 28th, Self-selected Works of Yang Kui New Book Sharing Session was held at Yada Life Bookstore in Yada Academy of Yada Yangxian Xishan. Co-founder of Yada Academy and the Writer Mr. Yang Kui shared the writing experience of this book as well as his current life state and reflections with readers online and offline.

The self-selected works are composed of three volumes, namely Break Out in Green Leaves Again, Quietly Retire to East Porch and Missing Friends Far Away. All names are derived from The Lingering Cloud, one of his most favorite poems by Mr. Tao Yuanming. Break Out in Green Leaves Again means trees with luxuriant foliage. This volume mainly tells the details of life. Quietly Retire to East Porch is a picture of Mr. Yang Kui’s study at Yangxian Xishan. All articles in this volume are related to literature, art, reading and writing. Missing Friends Far Away means the longing thought of relatives and friends. This volume describes persons, in particular his relatives and friends, also including the people he met in his life.

Mr. Yang Kui said, for many years what he wrote was nothing else than reading, writing and various kinds of people. What he wanted to express were only three things, common sense, logic and love. The three things seemed quite simple in daily life, but the most difficult actually.

Around the three things, Mr. Yang Kui told his editor career and what he learned from reading and writing as well as the life status along the way. Mr. Yang Kui also explained the mission of Yada Academy that integrating profound cultural quintessence into daily chat, which was highly consistent with the creation purpose of this new book.

On the site, Mr. Yang Kui read excerpts from three volumes respectively. In his recitation, there were reminiscence of the past and aftertaste to the life.

During the activity, readers talked about their reading feelings on this book, and told the influence of Mr. Yang Kui’s works to their creation and inspiration to their lives.

Due to the Epidemic, some readers were not able to attend the Session on the site. Therefore, the Session was broadcast synchronously through Wechat Channels of Yada Academy and The Writers Publishing House, enabling online readers to watch the activity.

After the activity, Mr. Yang Kui had an on-site book signing for readers. He expected more people to understand the warmth and beauty of daily life through his words.

Mr. Yang Kui, an editor, a writer, a calligrapher and a curator, has been rewarded many professional awards including National Excellent Young & Middle-aged Editor Award, wrote Getting Through and other works, organized personal calligraphy exhibitions including Men Beside Paper, and was honored as the Annual Person by GQ magazine. Since the operation of Yada Parks in early stage, Mr. Yang Kui founded Yada Academy jointly with Yada to promote Jiangnan culture through series cultural activities – Yada Academy Lectures and Talks. Since the first lecture on November 23rd 2019, it has invited celebrities from different cultural fields to organize 11 sessions of themed lectures and talks as well as 4 sessions of special lectures, including Mr. Ge Fei, Mr. Qiu Xiaohua, Mr. Ye Zhaoyan, Mr. Zhu Xuedong, Mr. Zhang Jianhua, Ms. Huang Xiaodan, Mr. Zhang Lixian, Ms. Yu Dan, Mr. Mai Jia, Mr. Yang Mingyi, Mr. Bai Yansheng, Ms. Wu Na and Mr. Lao Lang. The topics of the lectures are wide and rich, covering Jiangnan culture, life aesthetics, China economy, music appreciation and other aspects. It consolidates the core of spiritual and cultural activities in Yada Parks, widens the cultural perspectives of residents, as well as forms unique brand value, winning wide affirmation from all aspects of the society.
