Hufu Town and Yada Hospital Launched Elderly Cognitive Screening Project

On September 20th, with the 30th World Alzheimer’s Day approaching, Hufu Town People’s Government of Yixing held “Hufu Town Elderly Cognitive Screening Project Launch and Geriatric Health Free Clinic Activity” jointly with Yixing Yada Hospital.

The Town Mayor Mr. Jiang Wenrong, the Deputy Town Mayor Ms. Cheng Ying, the commissary in charge of pubulicity Mr. Chen Xiao, General Manager of Yixing Yada Health Ecologcial Park Mr. Liu Naifa, the Executive Director of Yixing Yada Hospital Ms. Zhao Hongchun, special medical experts of Yada Hospital and related persons from Hufu Town Health Center and county communities attended the Activity.

In the Activity, Hufu Town People’s Government and Yixing Yada Hospital signed the Coorpoeration Agreement on Hufu Town Elderly Cognitive Screening Project. It officially launched Hufu Town residents’ cognitive evaluation and screening.

In his speech, the Town Mayor Mr. Jiang Wenrong pointed out that, Hufu always paid high attention on the the elderly care and explored new pattern of elderly service. This time, It took the lead in launching the Cognitive Screening Project that was benefit to the residents. He asked all levels of departments to offer support the project and drive the elderly service in Hufu town to a new stage.

According to General Manager Mr. Liu Naifa, since the settlement in Hufu, Yada Park had positively intergrated into the local development. As one of the important service zones of the Park, Yada Hospital would further offer service to the local people upon the coorporation with the Government. That fulfilled Yada’s mission. Yada Park would offer support to the implementation of this Project and added new achievement to Hufu’s elderly service as a qualified corporate person under the philosophy of Virtue for Future.

The Director Ms. Zhao Hongchun gave a detailed introducation on the geriatric-related departments  estalishment in Yada Hospital based on its current cognitive outpatient service. She said, the Hospital would make good use of the expertise, work with the Government and try its best to offer good medical service to the residents.

The first group of screening began during the Launch Ceremony. Doctors and nurses from Yada Hosptial explained the knowledge on the cognition and guided the elderly to complete AI Cognitive Evaluation. The Brain Health Interactive Training System attracted crowds of residents to experience. Abundant training content led experiencers to exercise their hands, brain and eyes at the same time.

The Getriatic Health Free Clinic Activity began after the Launch Ceremony. Experts from the Neurology Department, the Cardiovascular Medicine Department, the Gastroenterology Department and the Orthopedics Department offered face-to-face consult to the local people. Doctors and nurses of Stomatology Department provided oral check and blood pressure measure service.

The cooperation with the Government represents a furthere integration into the local healthcare development.
