Yada Life Bookstore Honored “Most Beautiful Bookstore of Jiangsu”

On the morning of December 29th, General Meeting of Jiangsu Publication Industry Association was held in Nanjing. The Most Beautiful Bookstore 2023 of Jiangsu  Award Ceremony was held in the Meeting. Yada Life Bookstore was awarded 2023-2024 Most Beautiful Bookstore of Jiangsu.

To lead all sectors of the society’s further attention and support to the development of physical bookstores and create more urban and rural culture landmark and new-type reading space, Jiangsu Publication Industry Association organized the selection of 2023 Most Beautiful Bookstore of Jiangsu with the guidance of Jiangsu Party Committee Propoganda Department and Jiangsu Press and Publication Bureau. It had the requirements such as correct orientation, honesty, law-abiding, beautiful environment, advanced concept, joyful experience, abundant activities and favored by readers. 41 bookstores in the whole province attended the selection. 11 candidates was listed in 2023 Most Beautiful Bookstores of Jiangsu after the municipal preliminary assessment, qualification examination, on-site spot check, online vote, expert appraisal and Chairmen’s Meeting review. Yada Life Bookstore was the only one that got the honor in Wuxi.

Yada Life Bookstore lies at Yada Yangxian Xishan. It was next to Yangxian Lake, surrounding by mountains and waters with beautiful landscape. The total floor area was 236㎡. It has more than 12000 books, covering 15 categories, such as humanity, social science and art.

The bookstore had the lounge reading area, a small reading area and children’s reading area. It was equipped with comfortable sofa and low stools that offered quiet and convenient reading environment. The three areas surrounded the central yard. French windows introduced the landscape in four seasons into the bookstore. Readers could enjoy their reading time while enjoying the landscape.

Yada Life Bookstore held Yada Academy Culture Lectures & Talks aperiodically, transforming profound culture into daily talk. Under the principle of Public Welfare First, the Activity was free to the public. Since November 23rd 2019, it has invited the writers, including Mr. Ge Fei, Mr. Ye Zhaoyan and Mr. Mai Jia, cultural celebrities, such as Mr. Bai Yansong and Ms. Yu Dan, and artists, including Ms. Wu Na and Mr. Lao Lang, to talk about Jiangnan culture and life aesthetics. “Yada Academy Lectures & Talks” was honored Yixing Public Welfare Reading Promotion Demonstration Project in successive years.

To further the popularity of public reading, the Bookstore launched Xishang Leading Readers project in 2021. It invited experts and readers to share feelings.

Yada Life Bookstore advocates Aesthetic Life and Life Aesthetics. It carried out varied kinds of aesthetics experience activities on traditional festivals and the 24 solar terms, leading readers to feel the beauty of traditional culture.

Here, readers could enjoy beautiful natural landscape, poetic reading environment, well-known experts’ lectures and the charm of traditional customs.
