China Land Property System Restrains Reverse Mortgage

Though the reverse mortgage is popular in foreign countries to support the senior citizen'sretirement life, there are many obstructions in China to its good operation. An Official of China Banking Regulatory Commission said because of existing 70 years’ land property limit, Chinese retired people cannot get financial supports through the reverse mortgage.
