GMP Shows the Initial Conceptual Design for Wuzhen Rehabilitation Hospital

On the afternoon of September 27th, Partner of GMP (Architekten von Gerkan Marg und Partner) Mr. Stephan Schütz visited YaDa International’s headquarters in Beijing and demonstrated the initial conceptual design for Wuzhen Rehabilitation Hospital. The Chairman and President of YaDa International Mr. Jiang Jianning, Vice Presidents Mr. Zhou Jianping and Ms. Gao Xiang, German medical experts Dr. Hubert Hörterer and Dr. Karl-Heinz Mauritz, President of Wuzhen Tourism Co., Ltd Mr. Chen Xianghong, Board Member of Leader Medical Park Mr. Markus Fehr attended the meeting. Followed with deep communication on the design scheme of Wuzhen Rehabilitation Hospital, the attending parties unified the overall designing philosophy and discussed the future work plan.

Mr. Stephan Schütz first gave a detailed account of the conceptual design for Wuzhen Rehabilitation Hospital. He said good importance was attached to the scheme with  the integration of local culture. Focusing on the potential customers’ feeling, it reproduced Chinese traditional elements through German technology. The adoption of modular design could combine every building unit with each other and help to realize the functional complementation and connectivity.

Dr. Hubert Hörterer and Dr. Karl-Heinz Mauritz respectively expressed their views on the scheme from the standpoint of experts in medical rehabilitation, and discussed with Mr. Stephan Schütz on their concerns e.g. the layout of departments, the space allocation and sharing of medical installments. They hoped the scheme could take all factors into consideration to produce a reasonable and smooth operating circulation.

Mr. Jiang Jianning expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by GMP. He respected the experts’ views concerning the design scheme and hoped the designer could also consider the perspective of investor and meet the practical requests of Wuzhen Park for overall planning. Mr. Jiang Jianning suggested that the architectural style of Wuzhen Rehabilitation Hospital need not stick to one pattern, and gives extra emphasis on reflecting Rehabilitation Hospital’s premium brand and distinction. He also gave advice on the project cycle and cost input.

Finally, the meeting parties discussed and reached a common consensus on the future work plan and time schedule.
