China: Population over 60s Up to 241 Million

According to the latest release by the National Aging Committee on February 26th, till the end of 2017, the population of aged people over 60s in China had reached to 241 million, 17.3% of the population. The additional population of aged people in last year exceeded 10 million for the first time. It is estimated that around 2050 the aged people will peak to 487 million, 34.9% of the population.
