10 Major Cities Open Clinic Approval

On May 13, National Health Commission issued the "Opinions on Piloting the Development of Clinics", proposing that the approval of new clinics in the top ten cities will be simplified and simplified. Where a clinic is opened, it shall be reported to the local county (district) level health administrative department for the record, and after the issuance of the "medical institution practice license", the practice activities may be carried out.

The "Opinions" proposes to use the two years time from 2019 to 2020 to launch this pilot project in 10 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Xi'an. Based on the experience of the pilot and the improvement of the clinic construction and management path, National Health Commission will promote the release of the clinic approval policy throughout the country.
