Yangxian Lakeside: Where My Heart Belongs Is My Hometown

Yangxian Xishan Lakeside Park is located on the south bank of Yangxian Lake. Yangxian Xishan is closely connected to the Lakeside Park. Looking around from the Park, there are lofty Tianhuang Mountain and Xichuan Ridge, rippling waters of the lake, smoke from the far villages and many trees & flowers in front of you.

On the bank of Yangxian Lake in Yixing, Yangxian Xishan landscape living town quietly makes a figure. The total planned area of Yangxian Xishan is about 6,000 mu, and the construction area is about 1,500 mu. Now it has become the town center of Hufu, a tea themed tourism town.

"This is a very unique land which is near the mountain and by the river. The natural aesthetic of the Chinese is actually doing one thing. It is to connect the limited life of the individual with the infinite nature to achieve a limited to unlimited one. The transformation, that is, eternal life. Westerners pursue eternal life by relying on God, Chinese people are not. Chinese people want to achieve eternal life through relations with mountains and rivers. Therefore, all Chinese emotions, even all beliefs in China are Landscape, we look at things in ancient times, painting, poetry, gardening, all landscapes, our emotions are mountains and rivers." Said by Mr. Ma Xiaowei, the chief designer of Yangxian Xishan town landscape.

Mr. Gao Zhenyu, the life aesthetics consultant of Yangxian Xishan Town, was born in a Yixing pottery family. In 1982, he studied purple sand pottery from Master Mr. Gu Jingzhou, and then studied in Japan. In 1993, he obtained the master's degree in ceramics from the Department of Industrial Design of Musashino Fine Arts University in Tokyo. He is one of the famous traditional purple sand artists in China. Mr. Gao Zhenyu has a simple feeling for the landscape of his hometown: "I am a native of Yixing, whether I am studying abroad, in Beijing, or in other distant places, Yangxian is always important to me. We all take nature as the price and nature as the beauty, because people come out of nature. The representatives of nature are streams and mountains, which is the place that everyone wants, so my often saying is – where my heart belongs is my hometown and my heart belongs to Yangxian Xishan.

Food is the deepest homesickness. No matter how many places you have been to, how many delicacies you have eaten, the most unforgettable is always the original flavor from hometown. Yangxian Xishan Town Canteen is quietly located at the foot of Xishan Mountain. It is surrounded by green bamboo. The powder wall is tiled and gently paved. It blends with the mountains and rivers in a calm posture, showing a worldly beauty. In Yangxian Xishan, the characteristic ecological tea garden, which includes tea planting, production, tea field sightseeing and tea house experience, is an important structure of the natural lifestyle of Yangxian Xishan. It is a healthy living area adjacent to the beautiful tea mountain.
