CBRC Issues Newly Revised Health Insurance Management Measures

Recently, China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) issued the newly revised Health Insurance Management Measures. The document highlights the commercial health insurance's protection attribute, adapting to the new situation and new requirements of commercial health insurance management and supervision, and striving to meet the growing health protection need of people. It makes a comprehensive revision from the definition of commercial health insurance classification, product supervision, sales operations, etc; standardizes commercial health insurance product design, sales operations and claims behavior; as well as encourages commercial health insurance to fully assume social responsibility.
