State Council Issues National Active Response to Population Ageing Medium-Long Term Plan

For actively responding to population aging problem, State Council recently issued National Active Response to Population Ageing Medium-Long Term Plan. The recent plan will be from the near future to 2022, the medium will be to 2035, and the long-term will be to 2050. It is a strategic, comprehensive and guiding document for China to actively respond to the aging population by the middle of this century. The Plan has deployed specific tasks to deal with the problem from five aspects: first is to consolidate the social wealth reserve to deal with the aging population; second is to improve the effective supply of labor in the context of population aging; third is to build high quality aged-care service and product supply system; fourth is to strengthen the scientific and technological innovation ability; fifth is to build a social environment of  respecting the elderly.
