Yada Hospital Held Health Lecture on “Coronary Heart Disease Prevention & Treatment in Winter”

On November 24th, Zhejiang Yada International Rehabilitation Hospital held a health lecture themed coronary heart disease prevention and treatment in winter at the functional hall. The lecture attracted dozens of elderly people from Wuzhen Graceland, Pine Care Yada (Wuzhen) Elderly Center and Yada Hospital.

Ms. Jiang Wenda, the chief physician from the Neurology Department of Yada Hospital, gave the lecture. Focusing on the coronary disease commonly seen among the elderly, she introduced the disease’s harm, clinical manifestation, routine checkups and key points in prevention & treatment in detail.

Winter is a high-incidence season for heart diseases, in particular the coronary disease. Therefore, Yada Hospital arranged a themed lecture on heart health in this winter aiming to build up a protective health screening for target population like Graceland residents, Hospital patients and their families as well as Pine Care elders.

The lecture started from heart checkup methods and key indications. Ms. Jiang introduced heart related checkups, including UCG, ECG, blood test and CAG. For prevention, the physician explained five key signals and two main clinical manifestation when atherosclerosis occurred as well as five key principles for prevention and treatment.

The physician answered questions of the audience and gave them medical advices on site. She also explained some common misconception on treatment based on cases.

Yada Hospital has successfully organized 8 health lectures in 2019. The Lecture is specially designed to serve the elderly at Zhejiang Yada International Health Ecological Park as a public service activity. Based on the Health Lectures, Yada Hospital also organizes large-scale free clinics twice a year focusing on the elderly medical needs. Multidisciplinary medical experts from Three-A hospitals in Zhejiang Province will be invited to the Park and give professional medical consultancy, setting up a safe and convenient healthcare protection for the elderly people.
