Beijing Disease Control Center recently releases Guidelines for Prevention & Control of Social Welfare Institution such as nursing homes during COVID-19 period. It is clear that according to the current understanding of COVID-19, the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases are high-risk groups. Social welfare institutions should establish appointment visit system to ensure that non-essential visits are avoided, and strictly manage the entry and exit personnel.Visitors need to register health and conduct temperature monitoring. They could use the "Beijing Health” register system for obtaining "Green Code" access. All visiting personnel should wear disposable medical masks. Visitors with fever, dry cough and other symptoms should be rejected to enter the institution.
