2020 Yixing Hufu Town Homestay Hotel Seminar (First Phase) Held Successfully

On the afternoon of July 9th, 2020 Hufu Town Homestay Hotel Seminar (First Phase) Completion Ceremony was held at Yada Culture & Art Center. The Seminar was jointly held by Hufu Town Government of Yixing City and Yada Academy. Director of Yixing Yangxian Ecological Tourism Resort Management Office & Party Committee Secretary of Hufu Town Mr. Zhang Min and Chairman of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning attended the activity.

The Seminar lasted for three days. Under the organization of the Sponsor, responsible person from 27 representative homestay hotels discussed the current development state of homestay hotels at Hufu Town and sought for a sustainable development solution through specialized course training, visit, investigation & survey, experience sharing & interaction and theme forum exchanges.

During interaction at the Course-Completion Ceremony, students actively raised questions on marketing & promotion, customer attraction, surrounding environment & public utilities supporting and homestay hotel industrial standards. Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning gave detailed explanation one by one.

Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning pointed out that, with unique ecological resources and humanistic connotations, Hufu Town has been a prosperous place in foreign trade since Yuan Dynasty and numerous beautiful poetries by ancient refined scholars has made a bright name card for today’s Hufu tourism. Through unremitting efforts of government and the industry for years, Hufu Town has made commendable achievements in rural tour and homestay hotel operation, laying a solid foundation for enhancing tourist industry. However, there is no denying that, facing with ever-changing market demands, the homestay hotels at Hufu Town have problems urgent to be solved including business type homogenization, incomplete industrial chain and etc..

Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning suggested to solve such problems from three aspects, namely market segmentation, positioning differentiation and specialization development. Homestay hotel at Hufu should pay attention to improve standards and quality. In the future, the homestay hotel tends to be thematic and boutique operation. He asked to adhere to the operation philosophy, define the positioning based on its own characteristics and complement each other’s advantages for a win-win result.

Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning said, as a new player in Hufu market, Yada would be the industrial development platform by purposefully creating the tourist distributing center that enriches the tourist business type and improves the industrial supporting system. Yada would join forces with Yangxian Ecological Tourism Resort in the following fields, including setting up Luobu Courier Station at Town Center to promote & propagandize the regional tourist attractions & homestay hotel network, organizing recreational activities such as operas at countryside to make the tourists’ night life abundant, launching free tourist shuttle bus to facilitate the interconnection among homestay hotel zone, Town Center & tourist attractions, as well as enhance the urbanization level and boost the local sustainable economic development by establishing supporting facilities including Yada Sports & Fitness Center, Yada Theater and Yada Hospital.

Secretary Mr. Zhang Min fully affirmed the training. He said, this was the first Seminar focusing on Yangxian Ecological Tourism Resort homestay hotel. In the future upgraded trainings, Government would make efforts jointly with major market players to push the national-grade Yangxian Ecological Tourism Resort into a new phase.  

Secretary Mr. Zhang Min also had exchanges with course students on Yixing southern mountain area planning, public utilities construction, road greening, environment renovation and service improvement. According to him, Government would reinforce the environment renovation, optimize tourist market order and further improve public supporting facilities establishment to solve actual difficulties of the local homestay hotel development, creating more facilitating conditions. He expected that, based on the opportunity of setting up the national tourist resort management organization, Hufu could integrate the current regional tourist resources and set up a better marketing platform in order to make homestay hotel industry a nationally unique brand.

At the Course Completion Ceremony, Secretary Mr. Zhang Min and Chairman Mr. Jiang Jianning issued the Course-completion Certificates to the Seminar students. Outstanding Students Certificates and prizes were also offered during the event.

The Course Completion Ceremony was hosted by Executive Dean of Yada Academy Mrs. Luo Xuhua. Hufu Town Mayor Mr. Zong Hui, General Manager of Yada Health Ecological Park Mr. Liu Naifa, related leadership of Hufu Town and Yada management team members also attended the ceremony.
