Yada Academy Held Reading Day Series Activity “Literary Yangxian Scholarly Xishan”

On April 23rd, the 26th World Reading Day, Yada Academy Reading Day series activity with the theme of “Literary Yangxian Scholarly Xishan” was held at the Romantic Pavilion of Yangxian Xishan Town Center. The Activity would last two days with the purpose of advocating national reading and integrating reading into daily life.

By leaflets, discount sales of books and interactive guessing games, the activity was full of interest to promote the concept of reading.

During the activity, a feature video with the theme of “Literary Yangxian Scholarly Xishan” was played. The video was made to recommend books by Yada Academy. 12 referrals in the video appeared in the activity to introduce books for readers.

To further create a reading environment at Yangxian Xishan and encourage the residents to read, Yada Academy launched the Xishan Reading Leader Plan. According to it, Yada Academy will monthly invite a reading leader to recommend books, share his/her understanding, guide the residents to read, feel the interest of reading, cultivate their reading habit and become a lifelong learner.

On the same day, Yixing 9th Literary Yixing Reading Day Activity started. In the opening ceremony, Yada Academy Lecture & Talk was awarded “2020 Yixing Public Reading Promotion Activity Demonstration Project”, and the Executive Dean of Yada Academy Ms. Luo Xuhua got the prize of “2020 Yixing Excellent Reading Promoter”.

Yada Academy, as the important cultural window of Yada Yangxian Xishan, promotes national reading by varied kinds of activities, such as lectures, talks and reader salon events. Participants have exceeded 60000 person-time in total. In the future, Yada Academy will organize more reading activities with significance to play its role in national reading, and lead the public to love reading and read high-quality books.
