100 Anniversary of Founding of CPC and Graceland Academy Spring Semester Completion Celebration Held

On July 1st 2021, 100th Anniversary of the Founding of Communist Party of China and Wuzhen Graceland Academy Spring Semester Completion Celebration was grandly held at Yile Lecture Hall of Wuzhen Yada International Health Ecological Park. Teachers and students from Wuzhen Graceland Academy brought a wonderful performance to celebrate the centenary of Communist Party of China.

The event site was decorated with the graduation work collection of static courses’ students, including calligraphy, ink wash painting and etc., colorful and under rich themes. They guided the audience into a palace of art.

The Celebration began with the chorus Without the Communist Party There Would Be No New China of Wuzhen Graceland Party members and Longevity Club members. The average age of singers was 78 years old. The oldest one was 91 years old. They presented their gift to motherland and CPC with passionate singing, although they were in old age.

Students from Graceland Artistic Dance Club performed China in the Lights to pay their respect to 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC with their wonderful dancing posture.

Members of Physique Class were a beautiful scenery at Wuzhen Graceland Academy. They brought a show named Flower Dance, displaying the beauty and charm of Graceland residents by straight posture, confident smile and elegant deportment.

Soulful instrument playing Azalea and passionate Song of Horse Herding were the performance by Chinese Zither Class students. Classic music flew through fingers and strings, expressing warm feeling to the Red Army.

Tai Chi Class students performed Yang’s Style of Tai Chi. Every gesture and motion showed the spirit of Graceland residents.

The following performance included My Motherland and I from Dance Junior Class, the song Floating Party Flag from Vocal Class, Forty-two Motions of Tai Chi Sword from Tai Chi Sword Class, the song and dance Blessing of the Motherland from Music Show Class, a show Ode to Coral from Etiquette and Physique Class, poetry recitation I am a Boat from Poetry Recitation Club and a special dance Shanghai Ballad from Dance Senior Class, winning bursts of applause.

Chinese Kung Fu from Tai Chi Fan Class integrated boxing, martial art and dance into one. Students who were nearly eighty years old showed heroic spirit of Chinese people by ethereal postures and masculine manner.

Good academy life and wonderful performance of students could not be divorced from teachers’ attentive teaching or students’ unremitting efforts. During the Celebration, there was a special sector to present awards to full-attendance students and excellent teachers, encouraging continuous growth and better achievement.

A special program The Journey of A Century, The Glory of A Century, written, directed and acted by Graceland residents, was the finale for the Celebration. The 20-minutes program combined varied kinds of performance forms, such as semi chorus, instrument playing, song and dance, displaying stories at five periods of history and pushing the Event to the climax.

When the music Ode to the Motherland rang out, all performers came to the stage, waved flags and sang with the music, expressing love to CPC and motherland and affection to life. The site was suddenly ablaze. The Event successfully ended with the song.
