Yada Academy Held 2021 Spring Semester Completion and Autumn Courses Exhibition & Performance

On the afternoon of July 6th, Yada Academy 2021 Spring Semester Completion and Autumn Courses Exhibition & Performance was held at the Culture & Art Center of Yangxian Xishan. Teachers of Yada Academy and nearly one hundred residents from the Project joyfully gathered together to review the study time and observe the autumn courses through the wonderful exhibition and performance. Chairman of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning and the corporate senior management attended the activity.

The site exhibited the works of teachers and students, including oil paintings, calligraphies and photography works, which displayed the students’ achievement in the spring semester.

The activity began with a short video of Yada Academy 2021 spring semester review. Abundant courses, including calligraphy, yoga, practical English, vocal music, photography, tea art, Tai Chi and dance, created a platform for the residents’ interest and study.

In the following, Dean of Yada Academy Ms. Luo Xuhua introduced the service objective and curriculum of Yada Academy. The teacher representative and student representative also made speeches respectively, sharing their experience in teaching and studying at the Academy.

During the activity, the audience also reviewed the first Yada Academy Hexi corridor learning voyage. The learning voyage, also called the classroom in the journey, could be regarded as the extension of Yada Academy classrooms. During the group travel, students combined the skills learnt in class and the voyage deeply. They played Tai Chi on the gate tower of Jiayu Pass, sang Embroider Red Flag under the five-starred red flag, recited classic poems at Yang Guan, and danced Xinjiang dance under the grape trellis. While exploring the culture of the Silk Road with one thousand years’ history, they integrated what they learnt in class with the voyage.

This Exhibition & Performance was the first art performance held by Yada Academy of Yangxian Xishan, containing dance, poetry recitation, Pipa, ancient Chinese zither, Tai Chi, traditional Wuxi Opera and singing. It intensively displayed the Academy’s curriculum. Wonderful performance won bursts of applause.

After the Exhibition & Performance, Chairman of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning issued awards to full-attendance winners in the spring semester and made a speech.

He firstly affirmed the efforts of teachers and residents for all activities and active participation. He pointed out that, Yangxian Xishan would not only be constructed into a Project with beautiful landscape and completed supporting facilities, but also offer rich spiritual and cultural life for residents and brought them a healthy, joyful and high-quality life. He expected that, in the future, more and more residents could join in the volunteer teams for different aspects, support and help each other, lead the community activities, and make the life better through common effort. He also hoped that all elderly residents could enjoy a happy life at Yangxian Xishan without worrying about the age.

When the activity ended, Yada Academy’s autumn semester was also coming. Yangxian Xishan Yada Academy holds the service objective of “learning interesting knowledge, experiencing colorful activities, making friends with common pursuit and enjoying happy life”, offers the residents a platform to exchange and communicate and enriches their spiritual and cultural life by setting up varied kinds of courses and organizing wonderful activities.
