Jiangnan, a place that numerous people earnestly long for from ancient to modern times. 

Yixing, lying in the center of Jiangnan, owns the good reputation of No. 1 Jiangnan Landscape. During the recent two years, in the landscape, Yada Yangxian Xishan Town is under construction with large scale.

Besides cuisines from different area, boutique hotels and facilities for entertainment, here is some extraordinary space for culture, such as Quest of Jiangnan.

Quest of Jiangnan locates at the core position of this Town. It is neither a common store, nor a venue to display and sell cultural creative products. It stands in the crowded world but with a sense of quietness and mystery. 

The name derives from the "studying the nature of things" of Confucianism. Jiangnan is the soul of it. It does not only mean it locates at Jiangnan, but also the nature of Jiangnan. Quest of Jiangnan pursues to explore the beauty of Jiangnan.

With all walls white, the space of Quest of Jiangnan is fresh and elegant. It has two floors, one for art exhibition, the other for good articles circulation.

In every two months, Quest of Jiangnan will invite one artist to stay. He/She uses it as his/her own studio and rearrange the blanc space by his/her works and decoration. That is the Program for Visiting Artist.

It has a set of strict rules for invitation. Title, awards, market price of their works are not important. The only rule is whether their work could represent Jiangnan. 

NO. 2

So far, Quest of Jiangnan has organized two exhibitions.

The first exhibition is for the ceramist Mr. Ge Haoxiang. He is one of new generation purple sand creator representative figures in Yixing. All of his works are made of purple sand plus ruby glaze. Each work has its own thinking with extraordinary exploration on Jiangnan culture and profound charm.

The second exhibition is for bamboo craving master Mr. Ni Xiaozhou.

In the exhibition area on the first floor of Quest of Jiangnan, there are a group of bamboo trunk and slices with different shapes.

They give a "strange" first impression. When you enjoy it for a short time quietly, you would be surprised on the beauty of these bamboos. 

Mr. Ni Xiaozhou has explored bamboo craving for decades of years. He got the material from the nature and turned them into a kind of conception.

Mr. Ma Weidun had a comment on the collection of "Broken Bamboo". It was more difficult to find such strange bamboo than craving. 

The exhibition also displayed his works in different creation stages. Visitors could find the process from inheriting to creation. 

NO. 3

Founder of Quest of Jiangnan Mr. Yang Kui is a well-known writer and exhibition planner. He was born in Beijing but had deep affection to Jiangnan.

He said, Mr. Ge Haoxiang had wide sight and mature skill, Mr. Ni Xiaozhou has extraordinary love to bamboo. Their works are good representative of Jiangnan culture.

In his opinion, Jiangnan was not only a concept in geography, but had deep meaning in culture advantage and spirit independence.

Although Jiangnan culture is complex, many people could not understand it, people could find the beauty and be impressed by it.

Quest of Jiangnan to Yada Town is like a free breeze in the context of Jiangnan. It delivers Jiangnan life aesthetics and contributes to Jiangnan culture and life revitalization.
